A few years back (more than two, less than 10) the BSA started using Baloo
in Cubbing. I didn't recognize the source.
Interesting that Kilping is used as a source elsewhere. I had heard this
part before. I was talking about this today at work with someone and
commented that most American boys probably have never read the book and many
probably have not seen the movie. How deprived we are!
At which point my coworker, who's about 15 years older than me, asked me
about the "cartoon". Well, I said, the movie was a cartoon. He then
informed me that this was not quite true. Seems there was a live action
movie before the animated version, both were American movies. You learn
something every day!
