We've read the first part (chapter) of _The Jungle Book_ to our pack each
fall for the last two or three years, and we've found it to be well worth
it, since it sets the stage for the rock circles, grand howls, investitures,
etc. (And even jungle dances for the brave.)
It takes us about 30 to 45 minutes to read it, so we break it into two parts.
This year, we discovered that it makes a *perfect* bed-time story for our
fall cub camp. Never has it been so easy to get them to sleep.
