Virtually all laws relating to the molestation or abuse of children
are under the jurisdiction of the States. Different states have widely
different reporting procedures and requirments pertaining to reporting.
Typically, your telephone book should have a "hot-line" number for reporting
your suspicions (most often called "Child Protective Services, or Child
Welfare Agency"). If you are unable to find one, then call the District
Attorney's Office for your County, and they can certainly direct you further (
and probably answers questions as well - if you don't mind waiting in line for
an answer).
