Go North Young Man!
Seriously - I haven't yet seen this suggestion passed back to the originator
of this particular thread, but I forgive you all! Coming from the Great White
North, I have been ignored for many years!
There are some great provincila Jamborees happening in Canada next summer.
One that srpings immediately to mind is the Newfoundland-Labrador Jamboree,
which will be held in the Gros Morne National Park - one of the bet places
for adventure I have ever seen.
It might be a further distance to go for some of you on that apprently very
LONNNGGGG Philmont waiting list, but the fees once you arrive are far lower.
There are other provincial Jamborees happening next summer, too. Although
most Americans don't get much exposure to Canadian Scouting, I think you will
find we have a super set of Jamborees! We are not all that far away, and
there will be loads to do and learn.
Turned down by Philmont and looking for adventure? Come on pu and see us
instead!
Norman
