Here are a couple of "alphabet games" we use for car/ Kmart lines, etc.
Young ones: have to see the letter somewhere displayed
have to see something beginning with the letter (asphalt...)
10-adult: Geography: Each choice begins with the last letter of the
previous word: Asia, Arkansas, Saskatoon, Nigeria, etc.
(fortunately there are lots of As.) Corollary: My daughter thinks of 10
A words, then I try to name 10 more, then my husband(he is champ, so goes
last.) good practice for first version. Anything named on a map is OK
any age: My name is Annie, I come from Alabama, and I like Apples.
Literary version: Book titles, fictional characters (no TV)
Ecology: one person takes plants, another animals, trade off, or do one
game of each. (Quetzal bird is allowed)
.... I just realized how much time I spend in the car ! :)
