Re: Troop Dues (plus some bio info)

I have been the Scoutmaster since January of this year, moving up from a
few months of ASM and six years as Cubmaster of Pack 226. We are part of
Pathfinder District (formerly Kit Carson & Crazy Horse, which merged last
year), Golden Empire Council. My two sons (one 14, First Class, SPL & one
11 next month, Scout) are both in the troop and were with me in Cub Scouts
as well. My wife is a former Den (Bear and Webelos) Leader, and now does
advancement for the Pack. I myself was a Cub and Boy Scout (Pack and Troop
41, Troop 100), achieving First Class before I had to drop out due to an
afternoon/evening job. My own father was Cubmaster of Pack 100 in Rio
Linda, California, (yes, there really is a Rio Linda, and it's not as bad
as another "RL" makes it out to be :) ) when my younger brother was a Cub
Scout.

We are "restructuring" the troop to become more boy run. It requires a bit
of fixing through neglect over the last few years, and I feel I have
already benefitted from the wisdom found on this mailing list.
