75 years +

Back in 1986 (i think) my troop (Troop 3 Smithtown) became 75 years. We
had a big celebration. Hats and shirts were made up with a special
patch on of the boys designed. We had to request that national make
a 75 year strip to go on the uniforms ( they thought that there were no
troop at our age around still). As for calling back past eagles, the
ones we knew we called for the celebration but a lot of the records got
lost in a council fire around the late 70's. But it was a huge success.
We started in 1911 (Oldest on Long Island, Ny) and are still going, not
as strong as it used to be but we will survive to make 100.
