Sure. Liability is an issue.
But who said anything about being the one
in charge when having ONE drink?
Troops I work with go beyond the two deep
leadership. With 20 scouts, you need at least
five in case of accident if you don't want
to cancel if a scout is injured.
When you go to summer camp with 6-7
adults with 20 boys, there is no harm
in two or three of the leaders leaving
the camp for a couple of hours. You're
still covered. And I'm not suggesting that
those that may leave camp will abuse
anything.
Succumbing to fear of the witch hunter
only empowers the witch hunter instead
of debunking him for the fraud and opportunist
he is.
