Jessi, thank you for the kind publicity about America Online and our Scouting
OnLine Forum. Yes, it is a real great service, and has some quite nice
features.

We do, as you said, welcome the youth, for that's the reason we're all in
this. On our recent 'First Annual Electronic Thinking Day' we had a special
online gathering with 48 of them - 19 units and 11 states if I remember the
numbers - enjoying the idea of another way to "make new friends and keep the
old". The hosting and much of the planning were handled by two of those
youth - a Junior from Massachusetts and a Cadette from Florida!

There was one minor error in your thoughts about us, though ... we are not in
"that disgusting KIDS section". 'Scouting OnLine' and 'Kids Only OnLine' do
fall in the same administrative division of AOL. But with our own keywords
('SCOUTS' and 'KOOL') for direct entry into each area, that parallelism is
now sort of transparent. (The last time I was over in the KOOL area, the
kids were chatting live with Michael Crichton.)
