What to do?

Last night, the bishop at church informed me that he was reorganizing
our youth program, which I am the head of, and removing Scouting from
my influence so I can concentrate on the other aspects of our program
which he feels are more important. I'm LDS and the Young Men's President.
I also have been the Scout Committee Chairman. The bishop is making the
Scouting program separate from the Young Men's program and says that
Church policies support this.
This is considerably different than my understand of LDS Church policies.
Seems I don't have a lot of choice. My question is, that I want to
maintain my ties to BSA, but I'm not sure how to do it since I'm not
going to be involved other than as a parent. I want to remain registered,
but he is not going to register me as anything, because as he says,
he wants me to focus totally on the rest of the LDS Church program for
Young Men. I'm Wood Badge trained and waiting the formal presentation
of my beads. What to do... What to do... What to do?
