I assure you that I'm not trying to be argumentative, and I do agree with
strict enforcement of the 2-deep rule, but in the case of a formal situation
where there is not normally a second adult present--the best example would
be in a school classroom--does a second adult need to be brought in for any
part of lessons that apply to a merit badge? It is not an unusual occurance
for a teacher to be a merit badge counselor for their subject and for
classroom activities to be a major part of the requirements. This is true
for such badges as the three Citizenships, Scholarship, Reading, Music, Art,
etc. Would this also apply to private teachers in music, coaches in sports,
and other similar activities. These are not short term situations and often
normally do not include an extra adult--or in some cases, an extra boy present.
