Mike,
That was a good post. And I certainly agree, this (two deep) policy
is one that would be foolish and irresponsible to "use judgement" on.

I think your comments on convoys are well thought out, but I prefer a more
frequent checkpoints. That way, you pick up stragglers more easily ( and
find out about problems more readily).
