Re: Sticky leadership situation

Mike: (& a Q to the rest) if the woman who "let some words go without
thinking" has a medical problem, it might be Terette's (sp again?).
This awful tic disorder affects many people. If on the other hand, she
was obviously mad and said the usual profanity one hears, that's something
else.
Now, a new question: what if you have a scout with the same disease?
Facial and body tics are bad enough, but at times, and with some cases of
Terettes, foul or insulting language slips out during a person's speech.
So does the scout (who has a medical problem - believe me it IS medical)
get booted out for not living the scout spirit? Become a lone scout so
as to not offend anyone?
Before you think this is just me blowing in the wind, my wonderful son
(the ADHD webelo) has a tic disorder of some kind. These disorders are
difficult to diagnose and put a name to, so we won't know how bad it may
get; I just wondered how a scout would be treated.
