Ok, here's how I do it: No matter how many girls I take out, I take no
less than 3 adults: camptrained, firstaider, extra. If a child needs to
go home, we call her folks, they come and get her. While we wait for
this, the firstaider and the extra can stay with her while she is
throwing up or whatever, and the camptrained mom (me) stays with all
the rest CLOSE BY. I try to have 4 adults so that with two, the troop
could continue it's activities. With the one firstaider busy though,
we'd still have to stay CLOSE.
If the girl had to be taken to the emergency room, the firstaider and
two girls go. If the injured girl's parents pick her up there, the
firstaider and two girls return. Meanwhile, the camptrained and extra
do REALLY SAFE THINGS while awaiting firstaider's return. If the
injured girl needs help, morale support, she has 2 girls there, and the
firstaider can concentrate on driving.
BTW, I try to get "extras" that are also firstaiders.
