}I need some ideas for our Arrow of Light ceremony. I was sure there
Arrow of Light Ceremony
Props: (A TBD ft. of rope for each Cub Scout earning his Arrow
of Light.)
Asst. Cubmaster: Are Cub Scouts are guided to Cub Scouting's
highest rank by the Arrow of Light. The seven rays of
the Arrow of light represent wisdom, courage, self-
control, justice, faith, hope, and love.
Den Leaders or Asst: (One by one, bring each Cub Scout and his
parents to the Cubmaster.) ___ has earned his Arrow of
Light.
Cubmaster & Asst: (Welcomes each boy with a Cub Scout handshake.
Cubmaster presents the Arrow of Light.)
Cubmaster: The Arrow of Light is important. It's the only badge
you can wear on your Boy Scout uniform. But, more
important than the badge its self is what you learned,
the work you did to help others and the fun you had in
earning it. (Hand the AOL to the parent. The AOL is
fastened to the card with tape.) Please, place the
Arrow of Light on your son's uniform. The parents may
now be seated.
Asst. Cubmaster: (Ask each boy tell a couple sentences about
something they've enjoyed as a Cub or advice to the
younger cubs. Then, tie his rope to the boys before
him. The first boy will tie his to the last boy's to
make a circle with the 2nd year Webelos on the
outside.)
Cubmaster: This circle represents the circle of brotherhood which
is Scouting. Will the first year Webelos please come
to join us. Now please, stand on the inside of the
circle holding onto the rope. Our second year Webelos
have now completed their journey in our Pack. The
second year Webelos may now return to your dens leaving
the circle of brotherhood to your younger bothers. (We
had the cross over ceremony a few minutes later.) You
are now the oldest boys in our pack and the youth
leaders of your pack. You may now return to your den.
