}The LDS churches in the council that I am in have recently decided to move
}all of their units to a single district and that is the same district that I
}am in. In order to better serve their needs, I am wondering if we need to
}set up a seperate roundtable for the leaders of the Blazer units, or is that
}normally with the regular Scout Roundtable or for the most part with the
}regular roundtable with perhaps for part of it a seperate side meeting.
We have a number of LDS units in our district. At least at the Cub
Scout level, we don't do anything seperate for them. Most of the
program and ideas are the same. There are a few times when it's
mentioned that the LDS units do one thing and the other units do
something different. We have LDS and non-LDS Scouters on Roundtable
staff, so there are people making sure that their needs are met.
While it's not what you asked, I think keeping them in the same distict
is better. It makes coordinating activities easier. We are on the
edge of our district. On Christmas tree pickups, Scouting for Food,
etc. we have had trouble with one unit (in an other district) that
works in their stake area even though it crosses district boundries.
