My son's new 5th grade health book has a section on AIDS, causes and
prevention. AIDS is also covered in an age appropriate way for all sex-ed
classes in our elementary schools.
At Webelos Resident Camp last summer, all staff were given surgical gloves
to keep with them -- we were told not to make a big deal about it, but in
treating scrapes, etc., use them. At the risk of sounding paranoid, until
there's a cure, better safe than sorry.
