Saturday Alan Jones <alan@SAWASDI.APANA.ORG.AU> asked about woodbadge
systems from different contries. Here in YMCA-scouts of Denmark You can
participate in the woodbadge course if
1) You have been a leader for at least two years.
2) You are at least 20 years old.
3) You have participatet in a cource about "fundamental principles
in scouting" (my own translation. The course are based on
discussion.)
4) You have about 10-15 specific basic lessons from our basic courses.
The woodbadge course starts with an outdoor camp with patrols consisting
of leaders from different "age-groups" (I mean mixed cub-scouts leaders,
scout-leaders etc.). After the camp You have to do a project in Your own
group an then we all meat a weekend, approx. half a year after the camp.
And it's a great experience, I'll do at again sometime.
