Another introduction

Having been signed up for 1 day now and seeing three introductions, I get the
impression this list is growing exponentially! I learned of it from a local
BBS in Louisville.

I am an SA with Troop 1, Lincoln Heritage Council, Louisville KY, and a Unit
Commissioner with the Seneca District. I have been active for nearly three
years and have begun working my Woodbadge ticket -- Bear Patrol. I was a
scout as a boy in the 1950's, getting all the way to Second Class. I remember
when the Webelos badge and the Arrow of Light were the same thing.

I am very interested in Scouting in Russia and the former Warsaw Pact nations.
Tony Booth at National helped me meet Scouts in Russia when I visited last
summer; I hope to take some boys to the Russian Jamboree this August. I know
that at least one other Scouter planning to make that trip has E-Mail; Dave
Mulvey, are you on board here?

I am also interested in the history and culture of the Seneca nation of the
Iroquois league, since our district bears their name. I would like very much
to hear from Scouters with knowledge or heritage in that area.

As SA for programming, I always need new active games that our fairly large
troop (ca. 50 boys) can play indoors without destroying the Church.

The main thing I have learned from Scouting so far is how much there is to
learn! I look forward to participating in this new channel.

YiS,
Rick Harned
