Not having looked, Kathie, but doesn't the Scout "rank" require that
the boy know the basics of how Scouting originated and how it came
to America? Or has that changed, too? (That's what I meant...)
Fleur-de-lis: I can only assume (and I know what that means!:) that
the old "College Connection" brochure was pulled because of the quantum
change in the BSA/APO relationship that took place at the last APO
National Convention. I would imagine that APO voluntarily pulled the
pamphlet because of that. It was available until the current APO order
forms came out and I ordered some as recently as last Fall.
Personally I wish the two organizations would agree to disagree and get
on with the more important aspects of what they could do together. I'm
getting tired of the suspicion level I get from the Council when I try
to get APO involved with them, and I'm also getting tired of the way
some APO members diss (the only good word I could think of) BSA.
