Eagle BOR's

By the time a Scout reaches the Eagle BOR, it's mostly a formality. All of
the requirements have been met, project completed, etc. However, one of the
things we hit heavily on at _all_ of our BOR's (& esp. Eagle BOR) is Scout
spirit. A boy _must_ have a good definition of Scout Spirit as he applies
it to himself in his daily life. Our philosophy is that if a boy can live
up to the Scout Oath & Law, he'll turn out pretty well. I don't think that
_anyone_ can live up to all the ideals of the Oath & Law. Most do try and
succeed fairly well.
I have however, heard of boys "failing" BOR's due to a poor definition of
Scout Spirit. They don't acually fail, but we ask them to return with a
better definition. I've not seen it in our Troop, but it has happened.
