You know, what one Scout did in my town for his Eagle project is he
painted a yellow stripe around the telephone pole nearest to every fire
hydrant in town. Of course, we have a relatively small town, but instead
of asking everyone to make such a long term and frequent commitment, you
could just do that (with the fire department's and phone company's
agreement, of course). If your area is small enough, it could be
someone's Eagle project. Just an idea.
