Hello everyone:
I signed on one week ago and have enjoyed reading all the great
Scouting information. My husband became Cubmaster of Pack 65 in
Cadott, Wisconsin last fall. We have about 40 Cub Scouts in our pack.
Our son is a Tiger Cub, and my husband and I recently attended Leader
Training in Eau Claire, WI. I will be helping with the Tiger Den until
they graduate in May; then I will become a Wolf Den Leader. (We have
14 boys in the Tiger Den and need to make two smaller groups.)
I was amazed to learn about all the rules and regulations required by
BSA: the tour permits; no camping unless parent attends too; the
lifeguard, aquatic safety, CPR, and first-aid certifications that are
required; etc. We're doing our best to "go by the book."
Last night, our Tiger Cubs made centerpieces for our Blue & Gold
Banquet. I think my hands will be orange and black for a week
(permanent marker ink)! I'm looking forward to attending Camp Phillips
this coming August (when we won't have any -40 to -70 degree wind
chills to deal with like we've had this past week).
Best regards,
Cindi Leiser, Cub Scout Pack 65
