Terry, I would say the first thing for you to do is get access to (besides
scouts-l) the 2nd largest electronic network of Scouts & Scouters... the
SCOUTER / SCOUTING echo conferences featured on the Fidonet network. (The
scouts-l list archive should have the current file called SCOUTS.BBS with
the list of the local BBS systems who carry the SCOUTER echo confernce)

Having been a part of it since shortly after it's inception I can tell you
that both in quality and numbers of users it ranks second only to this list.
The OUTDOORS forum section on Compuserve where some Scouters gather is quite
small in comparison (having also been involved in that venue for many
years).

Given the aim of any publication is communication, it would be appropriate
to draw on the greatest number of resources for stories as well as for
customers.

As far as story topics, perhaps a regular column on the various electronic
avenues that Scout(er)s communicate would be appropriate?
