Re: Family at Philmont

Hello Vicki,

Kathie and Mike have already told you about many of the activities at the
Philmont Training Center, and what your schedule will be like. I just
want to update their information a bit. This year Philmont has adopted
a very sensible weekend-to-weekend schedule, instead of midweek-to-midweek.
If you take Mike's schedule and shift it up by four days, you'll be close
to this summer's schedule.

The Boy Scout's are no longer taken away to ROCKY Mountain Scout Camp all
week (The Smokey Mtns are too far away, Kathie!). Last year, the Scouts
were away three days and two nights. It should be similar this year.
I don't know whether they will be at RMSC -- last year the NJLIC group
were there, and the Scouts went elsewhere.

Our family has had a great time the last two years at Philmont, and are
eager to go back again this year. While I teach, my wife has done some
of the activities offered with the spouse's program (especially the hikes),
but has also enjoyed being out on her own. There really is plenty to do!
