New Subscriber Intro.

As a new subscriber of SCOUTS-L I'm including a few words about myself.
I was active in Boy Scouts, Explorers, and OA from 1952-57 in the old Camden
Co. Council, NJ and the Black Hills Council, SD. After a 30 layoff I began to
get involved again when my oldest son went into Tiger Cubs in 1987. When he
reached the second year Webelos and there was no den leader available, I jumped
in with both feet. That spring I "graduated" with him into Boy Scouts and
became the Asst. Scoutmaster for Troop 21, Lexington, KY, Bluegrass Council.

In civilian life I've gone from public school music and history teacher; to
teaching music, political science, and history at the college level; to a
mid-life career change and am now Head of the Music Library at the University
of Kentucky. In addition to Scouts, I've also been active in community
theater and play in both a symphony orchestra and a jazz/dance band.

I'm looking forward to participating in this list and hearing from any of you
out there.
