RE>>Another Topic
What Mike say's is true, and I should have mentioned that within my message.
However, let me add a postscript...Yes it is true when dealing with smaller
corporations you'll run into these conflicts. However, in the larger
corporation you have a couple of options.

1) The corporation could be making a 'Corporation Gift' to BSA, but it may
also do matching funds. That is match whatever its employees give.

2) The corporation could be making a 'Corporation Gift' to BSA, but at the
same time encourage its store managers to support local neighborhood (their
market) non-profits. You'll find in these cases donations are smaller,
usually around $50 and most often include products (ie. Safeway or Albertsons
donating food for your Blue & Gold). This is the case with our fund raiser
at Payless...Payless Corp. gives a gift to BSA, but the individual stores
support local units in win-win situations such as I described!

On another note, one of which I'm attempting to work out in our pack, is to
include a percentage of your fund raising in a Pack FOS donation. Thus, it
becomes a win-win-win situation for all parties. It doesn't have to be much,
I've never seen the BSA turn down a donation from a unit! :-)

Of course, Mike....we always need those 'Friendly Reminders' now and
than..... :-)

Peter
