Your message is being returned to you unprocessed because it seems to have been
already sent to the SCOUTS-L list. That is, a message with identical body (but
possibly different headers) has been posted to the list recently, either by you
or by someone else. If you have a good reason to resend this message to the
list (for instance because half of the outbound spool files were lost in a disk
crash at some intermediate node), please alter the message text in some way
before resending it. Note that altering the "Subject:" line or adding blank
lines at the top or bottom of the message is not sufficient; you should instead
add a line at the top explaining why you are re-sending the message, for the
benefit of the list membership.

Subject: Re: Another Topic

Please, please, please...check with your local Council before
undertaking ANY fund-rasing activity this month (or any month)!

Lots of local Councils have perhaps already reached to those same
stores for a "donation" to the SME/FOS campaign, and many of them (
for instance, Penneys') have policies about how much they can give to
a particular group or organization....if the Council already got their
$500 from them and you turn around (even IF you're only a UNIT of the
BSA), the business has no alternative than to refuse to "chip in" on
top of any monies your unit makes.

Better safe than sorry.....make sure that you have the Council's OK!

(a friendly reminder from someone that went out at this time to gather
SME/FOS monies....and was told several times "We gave to the
Scouts...Pack 000 (or Troop 000)....you guys want more??? We can't do
it! Sorry!!!!!)
