Our community is trying to get a year-round school program going.
The plan is to go with 9 or 10 weeks in school with 3 weeks off
between sessions. I'm not exactly sure about the cycles because
neither 9 or 10 works well mathematically. The 3 "off" weeks,
however, will not be the same for everybody. Students and teachers
will be split off into "shifts". This helps the overcrowding as
there is no time when everybody is in school at the same time.
Scout camps should work out fine, but it does put a burden on
Troops and Packs. In order for the whole group to go together the
Scouts would have to keep the same school schedules.
