It seems to me that you are looking scouting and the writings of Baden-Powell
as something eternal and ever lasting (I compare it reading The Bible litteraly
e.g. women are the propety of men in The Old Testament). BP too was only a
mortal man with many good and some bad things. If you read his thoughts or
what you think were his thoughts and intensions like a devil reads the Bilble
scouting movement will die because it is not answering to the needs of
present time. Ofcourse we have to preserve all the good and lasting in
scouting and especially the scouting method of doing things.

If we talk about homosexuality being a repressed emotion think only the
other way around - Would you feel to be ok if you had to repress your
heterosexual feelings and emotions?
