To Jo Paolett

Jo, re your question about the Buddhist girl Scout with a brother that wants
to join Cub Scouts. There are many many Buddhist Boy Scouts and I am not
aware of any problems that any of them are having. In general I believe that
most Buddhists accept the Boy Scout oath with its "Duty to God" and the
pledge of allegiance with "Under God" wording. It is left to each person to
define for them selves what their Duty to God might mean.

In general, it is the folks that say we do not believe in God, therefore we
can not say those words and want them changed, that are having the problems
with the Boy Scouts.
