Failed Board of Review

Being involved in scouts since 1984 when I joined, I know of one boy in
my troop that failed a board of review. The reasons wre valid,
and that was what should have happened.
My troop's policy with failed boards of reveiw (when all is conducted
correctly) is to let the boy retake the board in a month's or a few
month's time.
As for the boy's father, I'd just explain to him what happened and tell
him that it isn't the end of the world, that his son can retake it in
whatever period of time the troop deems nessecary.
