If I remember correctly, Troop 411 is (was) sponsored by the Presbyterian
church at the corner of Paper Mill and Church Roads in Oreland. Welcome
to SCOUTS-L Jeff. I grew up in Oreland and my mother still lives there
on Kingston Road. I was first in Troop 1 (88) at the Lutheran Church on
Pennsylvania Avenue, but switched to Troop 2 (488) at St.
Philip-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church. In this latter troop I became a
brotherhood member of Delmont Lodge and an Eagle Scout, class of '67. I
had some friends in troop 411 back then, but have since lost touch with
most of them.
I got back into Scouting when my son received the back-to-school night
flyer for Tiger Cubs. Before I knew it I was Assistant Cubmaster, then
Cubmaster and now Assistant Scoutmaster. Again, welcome to the list!
