SEARCH THE DISCUSSION
LIST ARCHIVES...
Search through thousands of posts from the
past several years. Have a question you've thought about posting to SCOUTS-L? Search the
archives first to see if it has already been discussed. The POWER of this
Search field gives you access to the knowledge of hundreds of Scouter's
posts to the many lists.
NO MESSAGES ARCHIVED YET? THIS LIST IS NOT
ACTUALLY SERVED BY SCOUTER.com SERVERS. The list contents are only archived
by our server. The archives are no different than any other list subscriber that receives
mail from the list server. If there are no messages posted for a given day, that means
that either the list had no activity that day (not likely) or the list server is
temporarily down (which happens periodically with the current SCOUTS-L list server). The
SCOUTER.com archives will always include every message distributed to the list, and it
archives them just as soon as they are sent out by the list server. If no messages
appear in a daily archive, check back later that day or in subsequent days. Once
the SCOUTS-L list server starts to distribute messages again, then the archive will
receive and collect all missing messages.
Another note about message threads.
The archive manager attempts to associate messages into threads based on the subject line.
This is not always possible. Especially note that if a thread spans a month, the messages
in the second month would not be threaded in. We recommend that you use the subject index
(which is the default) for locating topics you are interested in. You may want to look in
a previous month if you find an interesting thread to see if it is a
continuation.
