Re: World Moot 2000

Mark McCormack (markmc@ecn.net.au)
Wed Jan 20 07:20:52 1999

How I do not know nor do I pretend to know anymore that what I have
mentioned. I have some friends visited them a few years ago on the way to
or from one of the Canadian Moots. As for Chartering that is unique to the
USA as for as I can work out. Rovers were disbanded in the UK about
1967-68. But it is coming back in a different format as that of a scouting
fellowship, this is something that might be suitable in the US.

As i understand it the fellowship is a group of people joining together to
do activities and follow the scouting ideals, not everyone is able to become
leaders, through going to University, work or what ever, but they feel that
scouting has given them so much why should they be forced to leave. The
fellowship is not a formal group in any sense of the word as far as I know.

Cheers

Mark
