Hey Rob,
I'm planning to write a letter to National strongly urging that we send a
contingent to the Moot. If we can get enough people to do this, something
might happen (though, knowing the BSA, probably nothing will happen).
Do you have any suggestions on to whom I should write specifically? If I just
address a letter to "Dear Sir or Madam" at the National Council, BSA, it'll
probably end up in the round file (wastepaper basket). Before the World
Jamboree, I wrote a letter to Donald Wilson (the Director of the Jamboree
Division). What surprised me wasn't that he turned down my suggestion; rather,
I was surprised that he asnwered my letter at all! Ideas for people to write
are the Donald R. Wilson, the Director of the Venturing Division (who's that
again?), and Jere B. Ratcliffe. However, in order for our letters to actually
reach these people, we need to have their "Mail SUM Number"; the SUM of the
Jamboree Division is S203 (NOT S404), but I don't know the SUMs of the other
divisions.
I'd appreciate any ideas and suggestions you have!
Yours in Scouting,
Alex C. J. Neroth
