World Moot 2000

For those of you who don't know, a World Moot is like a World Jamboree for
Rovers, but smaller. One is held every four years, and all WOSM members are
invited to send contingents. For various inexplicable reasons (see below), the
BSA is not planning to send a contingent.

At the Jamboree, I talked to one of the Mexican Organizers of the 2000 World
Moot, and she
told me that again, BSA is not planning to send a contingent "because we don't
have
Rovers." I agree; it's completely ridiculous. In order to attend the Moot,
one must be a
Rover between 18 and 25 or an adult leader between 18 and 25. The BSA has
Venturers (who
are between 14 and 21) and adult leaders (who are 18+). I see absolutely no
reason why we
can't send a contingent composed of Venturers and adult leaders who are between
18 and 25.
