Consider the situation from a different perspective. The Exploring program
is no longer part of the BSA at all. Explorers are no longer Scouts, but
rather participants in the Learning for Life program. That doesn't keep them
from hiking, camping, and doing whatever type of outdoor activity they want
to do, but the Explorer program is not a Scouting program. If the Scouting
part of the program is important to you and/or the Post members, Venturing
is where you must be. If the Scouting part of the program is not important
to them, Exploring can accommodate career-oriented outdoor activities.
