It may be too late now, but you can try the Anacostia Naval Base. Close to
the Metro and can't beat the price for food.

For Saturday night after 5:30, I would recommend seeing the monuments. Not
as crowded as in the daytime, safe is you stay in the mall / monument area
and I think, much more impressive
