Paramilitary ranks and such

I'm an associate advisor for a fire/EMS post.
We don't use the normal president, vice president, etc, titles either.
Instead, we have a captain (president), and several lieutenants (crew
leaders) and a secretary and quartermaster. The secretary and QM attend
officer meetings, and are pretty much treated as officers. Our officers
wear fire service rank- the captain wears 2 bugles, and the lieutenants
wear one. Our advisor and associates wear bugles, but don't have fire
service titles.
