re: Halfway Military Ranks or Titles in Posts

Tony Vining (Tvining@usa.net)

Scott-
Let me begin by saying that I have, through the local Air Guard Base
that sponsors my unit, adopted a uniform using the Air Force clothing. Our
Blue shirts have the Dark Blue "E" patch on the Right sleeve, and the BDU
uniform has it on the Left Sleeve.

This puts us in a position to be "Easily distinguished from military
personnel". Our uniform closely resembles that of a JROTC unit or the Civil
Air Patrol.

I use the Air Force Enamel Rank on the collar. This, again, is far
from Air Force practice, and is where JROTC units are.

I have found that surplus stores sell the Dress uniform pants and
shirts for about 15 dollars.

BDU's are more expensive, running about 40 dollars used.

If I can find my uniform policy at the base next Guard drill, I will
send you a copy of it.

Tony
