There is a major difference between Sea Exploring and Venture (High
Adventure) Exploring in regards to the uniforms. The two should not be
confused with the other since the do have VERY specific rules and regs
regarding uniforms, and what can and can not be worn on the uniforms.
As for Venture (Green Shirts) a scout may wear his Scout rank for he may
be a member of both a troop as well as a post. He may wear that rank till he
is 18 years of age. Correct me if I am wrong, but a Scout can not earn any
more Ranks after 18, and is only a youth in the eyes of Exploring for voting
and leadership reasons. Correct?
Since I do not know the Sea Scouting program, because it does not really
thrive out here, I don't know what is or is not proper to wear on the
uniform.
As for the large pins for the Ranks, they are hat pins only. Not to be
worn on the uniform at all.
