Hello,
I am a Boy Scout, I have been part of a venture crew for a while. I am
thinking about joining an Explorer post, I know some of the basics, I
still have some Questions.... maybe you explorers can help me out......
1) Are there leadership positions in an Explorer Post, like
Patrol Leader, Scribe, SPL, Quartermaster, etc.
2) If you are wearing the Kelly Green standard explorer uniform...
do you wear your boy scout rank that you earned at your home
troop,what about wearing any awards that you earned while in your
home troop, or must you only wear Explorer awards, or
badges you earned while an explorer
3) What are profficency awards, how do you earn them.
4) Does an explorer post HAVE to focused around one career or
area, such as aviation, law enforcement, sea, fire services, or
can it be a mixture of many
5) Does being an explorer have any affect on your participation or
relationship with your home troop if the post is not directly
sponsored by your home troop
6) Is it possible to be a part of an explorer post, and a boy
scout troop at the
same time
7) Does being part of an explorer post affect your regular rank
advancement
8) VERY IMPORTANT!!!!! DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN BUY
USED EXPLORER UNIFORMS!! (mail order, store, etc)
