While I think some of the members of my committee were down in TX
hammering out more details on the Ranger, I can tell you that
regardless of what is a pre requisite for what, the Ranger Award will
be the hardest award for an Outdoor Venturer to earn. He/She might
have the opportunity to earn the Gold, Silver, and Bronze (whatever
the heck that is) while he/she works on Ranger.
Just keep in mind that all of these will be unveiled at the big
National All Hands Meeting in August. I doubt if the people in Texas
this weekend received much in the way of literature about these
awards--they're still working on them.
