Hello

Hello all-
Just a message to say hi. My name is Buddy Cooke. I joined
Explorer Post 2609 in Hopewell Jct, NY- Dutchess County Council in 1992
when I turned 14. It is a band and we played at a lot of civic type
functions. We played a wide variety of music and it was a lot of fun.
I served as Treasurer for a year and VP for a year. I was the first
person in my council to earn the Explorer Achievement Award- and the
last when they changed over to Gold a year later. I am now a Cadet at
West Point so I only get to play with band every now and then when I am
home.
I am in the Scout Master Council at West Point. Just this
weekend we hosted about 400 troops and posts to our annual camporee. We
are currently in the process of restarting Post 1802 here at the
Academy.
I was also in Pack 65, Pack 127, Troop 68, Ship 168 and Lodge
443. So I had a fun time going all the way through scouting.
Thats about it. Looking forward to meeting some other people
excited about scouting!
