RE: Getting Along Online

Whiting, Mark (MWHITING@apsc.com)

I'm responding to Mark's message below. I don't know how many people
are in the same boat as I am. I'm a Scoutmaster of a Boy Scout troop
with almost 70 boys registered and 30-50 showing up for troop meetings
and activities. My efforts at trying to develop an associated post are
not proceeding as well as I had hoped. We chartered the post last
summer. Our post membership is 10 - 12 and our activities have been
limited to post meetings. It's been difficult to find the time I feel
is needed to support the youth in developing the program. But, I know
this is the right thing for our youth. I'm committed to the idea and
will find a way. We have good ideas and resources and I am addressing
the list only for commiseration and comment:-)

PS, If there are any Posts which have facilities we could use for free
near skiing and within a days drive from Phoenix that our group could
bunk in please let us know. I have available a building that I could
allow scout groups to overnight in about 15 miles west of downtown
Phoenix.

Yours in Scouting,

Subject: Getting Along Online

Hi all

This came along today and so I thought to pass it along. This list is
now
over 3 years old and yet it is very quiet. Maybe this might renew
some and
introduce new discussions.

Mark
