It is the council's responsibility to enforce BSA policy and not mine, but
for what my understanding as a member of the National Explorer Cabinet is
worth, paintball is prohibited in BSA sanctioned events, unless something
has changed recently. For further clarification, please call the national
office. I believe that the number is (971)580-2000, but I don't have it in
front of me, so I'm not sure. Certain firearms are permitted in certain
events, but only those specifically detailed in the "Guide to Safe
Scouting" and Law Enforcement Explorer literature. Explorers are allowed to
do more things than Boy Scouts, but they may only participate in those
types of events involving firearms which are specifically detailed in
OFFICIAL BSA (National) literature. If it is not mentioned, then it is
probably off limits. Sorry about that.
