Just as a reminder to every on the list, the most recent edition of the
Requirements book is the 1996-97 edition which was released this past
September. My understanding is that this will now be released ANNUALLY,
rather than every two years.

Just because you have the most recent edition of the MB book, doesn't mean
it will reflect the most recent requirements. I agree that any counselor
should have the most recent book, but they also need a copy of the most
recent requirements. I would hope that every district advancement
chairman makes sure that every counselor in his district who counsels a mb
that has changed requirements receives a copy of the NEW requirements, or
at least the changes. Memos describing the changes in the 95/97 and 96/97
editions of the Requirements book are available in the Scouts-L archive
and also on the US Scouting Service web page.
