Hello everyone, Well, from what I've read I seem to be a "tiger"
compared to all you "lifers!!" My son is eight and we just started
scouting last year. Our tiger group ended up with only two "graduates"
This year tigers seem to be more involved and I think that's great as
ours seemed to feel "separated", which doesn't work towards the goal of
getting them interested in scouting. This is my first year as a den
leader and I love it!! I recently went to my first training session and
learned ALOT!!! I am a school volunteer, PTA volunteer organizer, a
former JAYCEE, and seem to end up helping (or running) every fund raising
activity that's around!! I gave up most of my other activities to
concentrate on scouting. (and to make my husband happy....he thinks I
spread myself too thin....maybe...just don't tell him that!!) As I read
earlier, I just can't say no to my kids....scouting, soccer,
karate,.....you name it!!! I have two boys ages 3 and 8, am self
employed, volunteer too much, enjoy my computer, reading, snowmobiling,
motor cycling and my kids! I want to get onto the web but not sure if my
computer can take it! It took me forever to get to scout-L..I need to
thank Hikin_mama and Kim Mender for their help or I still wouldn't be
here! Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and has a Happy New Year!!!
