uniforms options

I really didn't mean to open a can of worms with my original response
about female uniforms, but I think some good points have been made. I
personally went to the male uniform for two reasons:
1) Comfort: I am 5'9" and the women's uniform is too short. If the
men had a yellow uniform for cub scouts, I could have bought a man's
uniform.
2) Most of the other leaders (male and female) wore khaki uniforms.
Only three of us wore yellow and one of those only at the Blue and Gold
banquet. My best friend and mentor wore khaki and -- like a good Scout
-- I wanted to be "just like her"!
And I repeat, Ikreally do believe that all the leaders should be dressed
alike. The yellow color was not my biggest complaint. Khaki is not one
of my "colors" either. Why should the women be the "visible" leaders
wearing yellow? If the leaders wear khaki, that should make them
visible as well. If the leaders wear blue, their height should make
them visible (at least until they get an 11 year old who is 5'8"). We
have one 5'9"+ !!!!!!!!
